The 3.5G touch phone from Modu has found its way into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s lightest touch phone. The handset features a 2.2 inch touchscreen display and runs on Qualcomm’s Brew operating system.
Modu T comes with all of the usual features including social network links, GPS and a built in FM Radio. The handset has a 2GB memory storage capacity which can be increased to 32GB.
One of the unique features for the handset is its twin jackets, one of which can be used to convert the phone into a 5 mega pixel camera while the other jack turns the handset into an exercise monitor.
While Modu T does not really provide anything different from a number of similar products available in the market, Micromax is hopeful that the handset’s status as the world’s lightest phone will prove to be the crowd puller.
Modu T will be launched in India on October 22 and is priced at Rs 12,500.
