Eman Ahmed, termed the heaviest women in the world, landed in Mumbai on Saturday for weight reduction treatment at a local facility. Ms Ahmed, 36, landed at Mumbai international airport around 4 am. Ms Ahmed was lifted, along with the bed on which she laid while travelling, with the help of a crane. She was then taken to a hospital on a special bed created to transport her, news agency PTI reported.

Ms Ahmed, who has not moved out of her house for 25 years, would be under observation for about a month before she undergoes surgery, doctors said.

She is currently under the care of a city-based bariatric surgeon Muffazal Lakdawala, and his team of doctors.

The doctors have been treating Eman for almost three months and took all the necessary precautions needed for the transportation of bed-bound Eman from Egypt's Alexandria city.

Iman Ahmad Abdulati has not left the house for 25 years and has slowly ballooned to a weight of 78.7 stone.

Although her family have appealed to local hospitals in Alexandria for help, the 36-year-old has continued to get fatter.

Now her sister Chaymaa’ Ahmad Abdulati, has gone public in a bid to find a solution. Iman, whose father died when the girls were young, is cared for by her sister and mother who feed her, wash her and provide her with help in going to the toilet, as she could no longer walk there.

Iman weighed 11 lbs at birth and she put on too much weight as an infant, struggling to walk as a young girl because of her weight.

Chaymaa said Iman initially moved around using her hands and when she turned 11 she started to crawl on her knees, but was unable to walk out of her home, so she was unable to attend school,

She revealed her sister’s weight problem increased at the age of 11 after she suffered what they believe was a stroke that left her bedridden.

Khodaldham - Most of people sing national anthem to set world record

The Khodaldham temple is about to witness an attempt to make a world Record of a crowd of 3.5 lakh people singing the National anthem at one place.

On January 21, there will be an opening ceremony of Khodaldham temple at Kagwad.  After the prime rituals, the doors of the temple will be opened for devotees.

Naresh Patel, head of Khodaldham trust said, we would try and break the record of Bangladesh’s record of 269,000 people singing the National anthem at one place. Officials if Guinness World record will also remain present to check the record.

In a bid to set Guiness world record, around three lakh people would sing national anthem in a Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav which is going to held in Khodaldham temple, situated 70 kilaometres far from Rajkot. Earlier the record was set by the Banglasdesh governemnt where two lakh and ten thousands of Bangladeshi volunteers along with the country’s head of the government sang the national anthem in chorus in capital Dhaka.

“We are all ready to set a Guiness world record along with three lakh and 50 thousand of people on January 21 here in the temple, organised by the Patel community” said Naresh Patel, chief of Khodaldham temple trust.

The event that will last for four days starting from January 17, will have big industrialist and influential personalities in the guest list.
