Delhi commonwealth games(CWG 2010): Day 9 Update Records

Twenty-one medals will be fought for on Day 9 and one of the biggest attractions being the England-India hockey semi finals at the Dhyan Chand stadium.

Scotland wins Gold in shooting

Scotland's Jen McIntosh won her second gold medal at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, with Johanne Brekke earning bronze for Wales. McIntosh shot a brilliant 597/600.

Gold for Singapore

Singapore wins gold in the men's 25 metre standard pistol pairs. India's Samaresh Jung and Chandrashekar K. Chaudhary took the Silver medal.


Another Nigerian tests Positive in Drug test

110m hurdler Samuel Okon, has tested positive for methylhexaneamine. Compatriot and women's 100m gold medal winner Damola Osayemi was tested positive for this same substance.

Scotland beats Trinidad & Tobago

Scotland have won their hockey clash with Trinidad & Tobago 7-0.

Meanwhile, Canada are leading India 28-5 in the first half of the men's Rugby 7's encounter.

Earlier on Day 3: England's Steve Lewis and Max Eaves leapt to Commonwealth Games medals on a day of competition in Delhi marred by the positive drugs test of Nigeria's Osayemi Oludamola.

The Commonwealth Games Federation announced Oludamola, who won women's 100metres gold last Thursday, tested positive for a banned stimulant and will remain provisionally suspended until Wednesday morning when she will discover her fate.

Earlier, Oyepitan clocked 23.26 seconds in the women's 200m as she finished behind Cydonie Mothersill of the Cayman Islands.

Mothersill clocked 22.89secs to win the final which was delayed from last night due to a protest which saw Elaine O'Neill of Wales come in for the disqualified Eleni Artymata of Cyprus.
