Breaking Bad - Highest-Rated TV Show Enters Guinness World Records 2013
The critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad from AMC network is breaking records and not only as it comes to viewers turning on their TV to watch every week. It has broken the Guinness World Record for Highest-Rated TV Show.
Bryan Cranston stars in the hit drama, which has entered the 2014 record book. But highest-rated is not related to number of viewers, rather it is a measurement, given out by MetaCritic.com which ranked the show with a 99 out of 100. As a measure of comparison with other successful TV shows, Breaking Bad had 5.9 million total viewers, which was a record for the series, but a number that wasn’t even close to the numbers of viewers Duck Dynasty had at 11.8 million total viewers.
The series is entering its last stretch in anticipation of the series finale and has fans on the edge trying to figure out how the story will end up playing out. Breaking Bad has been around since 2008, and tells the story of Walter White (Cranston) who, after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, teams up with a former student to cook up the purest crystal meth to sell, in order provide for his family. The enormously successful series is at its half way point in the final season and according to some, running out of time with the flash-forwards. These suggest that Walter doesn’t end up untouched by all the things he’s done so far, as he walks by what used to be his house. However, there is no hint as to why his drug empire falls apart yet. So things need to happen.
