MISSOULA- This weekend marks the hardest competition for two varsity tennis players at Hellgate High School.

Sam Angel and Katie Martens are trying to break the Guinness Book of World Records longest singles tennis match leaving some of their friends to assume they've gone crazy.

"Wow you are crazy and strong. I would never do anything like this in my lifetime so I give them props." said Claire Rappold, a friend and teammate of Sam and Katie.

A full day of tennis may seem like a lot but for Katie and Same they have to play for 60 hours to reach their target. The pair has been playing since 9 a.m. Friday and witnesses have to make sure Katie and Sam abide by Guinness's rules.

"We have to keep score and write down their matches and their scores and then there is another log book of if they take breaks because they are allowed 5 minutes an hour so it is very specific about how we keep the record." said witness Sally Rappold.

Although, they can bank their break time and Katie said they're not too tired yet and have no plans of backing down.
