Having made waves all around the world with her singing talent, Lady Gaga has just dethroned Justin Bieber as the new Twitter ‘Queen’. No, we are not really talking about any Social Media titles here, Lady Gaga has just beat the record for having the highest number of followers on Twitter. She has amassed a whopping 18 million followers and the list is only expected to grow further.

While the figure does sound alarming, the fact that she has so many fan followers, is hardly a surprise. Lady Gaga has been a revelation from the time she stepped into the music world and has mesmerised people from all corners of the globe. Not only her captivating voice, but also the depth of the lyrics of her song has struck many chords.

Lady Gaga made her debut with the music album The Fame(2008). The songs of the album were absolute smash hits and ruled the charts for weeks to come. Along with the commercial success, The Fame got thumbs up from most of the critics. Two of its songs, “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” are still revered today.

Catching on the success of her first album, she released her second album The Fame Monster, which only reaffirmed her status as the latest pop sensation. This album made way to her eighteen month long tour, Monster Ball Tour. The tour was a resounding success and ranked among the highest-grossing concert tours of all time. Lady Gaga’s musical genius has won her five Grammy Awards and thirteen MTV Video Music Awards. She also has four Guinness World Records to her name. Sigh! What more can an artist achieve!

Topless Lady Gaga Receives Guinness World Record For Posing As A Giant Mermaid

Lady Gaga is set to appear on the cover of the world's biggest magazine. Art magazine Visionaire's LARGER THAN LIFE issue will be an astounding 5 feet by 7 feet, with Lady Gaga featuring on both its front and back covers.

According to Billboard, the standard edition goes for $375 but the deluxe huge edition will run you a shocking $1500. Visionaire has already declared that that it has been certified by the Guiness World Records as being the largest magazine ever produced. With the photos being shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Lady Gaga appears as an oil-drenched mermaid. Gaga spoke about the shoot, stating that "there is no oil too thick as to destroy the imagination." Whilst the magazine has already broken size records, it is ironically not the most expensive. Nomenus Quarterly, a folio of unpublished images, has a price tag of $6,500. Carrying on her eccentric ways, Gaga was spotted in London this week holding a vintage parasol whilst also wearing sunglasses. According to The Daily Mail, she even gave the hotel doorman a cheeky kiss as she walked past.

Lady GaGa and Pixie Lott made It to latest Guinness World Records book

Lady GaGa and Pixie Lott have new accolades to add to their lists the pair has made its debut in the latest Guinness World Records book.

She has also been named the most searched for female on the internet in the new edition of the Guinness World Records.
Meanwhile, the late Michael Jackson is the most search for male on the internet, while Madonna is the biggest-selling female act of the 21st century in the UK.

Husband and wife Jay-Z and Beyonce have been named the year's biggest 'Power Couple', earning around $122 million through June 2009.

Pixie Lott has recorded the biggest chart jump, with her song 'Boys And Girls' climbing to number one from number 72 in one week.

Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of this year's records book, said: "Almost two years ago, Lady Gaga and Pixie Lott were not even around so it's amazing they have broken these records.

"Every year, so many new music records are broken."

The latest edition of Guinness World Records 2011 is released today (September 16).

The glamorous pop singer had already overtaken US President Barack Obama on the social networking site.
Lady Gaga's fans numbered 9,940,462, compared to Mr Obama's 9,444,942 on June 25, the British social-network statistics website measured.

The 24-year-old Poker Face singer topped 10m on July 2 and thanked her fans on her page.

"I love you guys so much," she said in a video. "Thank you so much for all of your love and your support, and for sticking by me," she added.

The group, which gauges online popularity, said Lady Gaga was the most popular living musician online according to her following on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The singer gained more than 1.9m fans alone last month and averages approximately 140,000 new fans each day.

She is ahead of other living musicians such as Britney Spears (3.1 million) and Taylor Swift (5.8 million).

However, Lady Gaga is still behind Michael Jackson, the late King of Pop who died last year. He has almost 15m fans.
