Guinness World Records 2013: latest Guinness World Records book released

From a tiny bull and giant biceps to a slam-dunking parrot and 340-piece drum kit, the latest Guinness World Records book is full of surprises.

This year’s Guinness Book of Records was released today.

The new entries are an intriguing bunch, and include Mostafa ‘Mo’ Ismail, whose biceps, at 31 inches, are as bigger than some waistlines.

Archie, the world’s shortest bull, is just 30 inches high, but “he still thinks that he’s the biggest cow in the herd.” He made a lucky escape, however. If it weren’t for his miniature stature, he’d have been sent to slaughter for beef.

Other record holders are Zac, a parrot who has completed the highest number of slam-dunks in a minute, and Dr Mark Temperaton, owner of the world’s largest drum kit.

Jyoti Amge, 18, from Nagpur, India, takes the title of world’s smallest woman. She stands at just 24.7 inches, and weighs less than a stone.
