A puppy named after pop star Beyonce could set the world's record for tiniest dog.
Animal rescuers in Northern California claim that the female Dachshund mix was so small at birth that she could fit into a spoon.
Beyonce was born without a heartbeat.
Vets managed to revive her through chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
At two weeks, she's now the size of a business card, the Mirror reported.
The Grace Foundation, based in El Dorado County, revealed that animal control picked up Beyonce's pregnant mother, and she gave birth to a litter of five on March 8.
The foundation said that she'd be ready for adoption in about two weeks.
Meanwhile, it has also submitted an application to Guinness World Records for world's smallest dog.
Experts say she is now likely to set a new record for being the world's tiniest dog. She is not yet officially the title holder but a "fast-track" application has been submitted to the Guinness World Records.
But a dog rescue centre in El Dorado Hills, California, has now been inundated with requests to adopt the little animal.
Beyoncé was the runt of a litter of five that was born to an abandoned dachshund mix, named Casey. Their mother was too heavily pregnant to have a termination and was scheduled to be put down.
